Prof Paul Carr is mentioned in today's South Wales Echo (p.7)

USW Professor Paul Carr is mentioned in today’s South Wales Echo (p.7) about his project on the “lost” history of popular music in Merthyr through a performance by local schoolchildren. The performance is taking place as part of this years Being Human Festival, in partnership with First Campus and Merthyr Library Services on 25 November in Theatr Soar, Merthyr Tydfil.

The Centre for Media and Culture in Small Nations wins the Best Impact in Wales Award

Professors Ruth McElroy, Lisa Lewis and Paul Carr won the Best Impact in Wales award for the Centre for Media and Culture in Small Nations in the first Annual USW Impact and Innovation Awards 2017. In gaining the award Professor McElroy made clear that this was very much a team effort, and that everyone in the Centre shared the award.
