The Centre hosts a lively annual series of research seminars, where both Centre members and guest speakers from outside the University are invited to discuss their latest research on the media and culture of small nations. These are free and open to all staff, students and members of the public.

Past speakers include: Catarina Duff Burnay (Catholic University of Portugal) talking about the Portuguese television landscape; David Miranda-Barreiro (Bangor University) on modern Galician literature; Jacqui Cochrane (Glasgow Caledonia University) on Scottish television drama; Lance Pettitt (Leeds Metropolitan University) on Irish cinema; and Petros Iosifidis (City University) on the media in small European nations.

Seminars normally take place on Wednesday afternoons during term time. If you would like to take part in our seminar series, either as a speaker or member of the audience, please contact: .
