Caiff y digwyddiad ei gyflwyno gan Nia Williams, Cyfarwyddwraig Dysgu ac Ymgysylltu Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Cymru. Gan ddefnyddio ailddatblygiad Sain Ffagan fel astudiaeth achos, bydd hi'n amlinellu sut mae'r amgueddfa'n mynd i'r afael â materion tlodi diwylliannol yng Nghymru trwy gynyddu mynediad at sefydliadau diwylliannol a chyfranogiad ynddynt.
Yr Athro Lisa Lewis (Prifysgol De Cymru) fydd y prif siaradwr. Gan dynnu ar ei monograff, Performing Wales: People, Memory and Place (Caerdydd: Gwasg Prifysgol Cymru, 2018), bydd hi'n archwilio agweddau perfformiadol ar ddiwylliant sy'n cael eu cyflawni a'u hail-gyflawni mewn bywyd o ddydd i ddydd. Wrth wneud hynny, bydd hi'n ystyried sut mae arferion gweithredydd yn hanfodol o ran mynegi hunaniaeth genedlaethol.
I gyd-fynd â'r sgyrsiau hyn, bydd y symposiwm hefyd yn cynnal pedwar gweithdy, a fydd yn ystyried y materion canlynol:
• Hanesion Cudd
• Gweithredu lleol
• Gweithredu amgylcheddol
• Ymgysylltiad a chyfranogiad cymunedol
Cynhelir y symposiwm yn ddwyieithog trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg a'r Saesneg.

The event will be introduced by Nia Williams, the Director of Learning and Engagement at National Museum Wales. Using the redevelopment of St Fagans as a case study, she will outline how the museum is addressing issues of cultural poverty in Wales by increasing access to and participation in cultural organisations.
Professor Lisa Lewis (University of South Wales) will deliver the keynote address. Drawing on her monograph, Performing Wales: People, Memory and Place (Cardiff: University of Wales Press, 2018), she will examine the performative aspects of culture which are continually enacted and re-enacted in daily life. Doing so, she will consider how activist practices are intrinsic to the expression of national identity.
To accompany these talks, the symposium will also host four workshops, which will interrogate the following issues:
• Hidden Histories
• Local Activism
• Environmental Activism
• Community engagement and participation
The symposium will be conducted bilingually in the medium of Welsh and English.
