Summary: Angela collaborates with the Centre on media policy projects and academia/media engagement. As a writer she contributes to its activity in Cultural Studies.
Aims: to produce literary works reflecting life in Wales and Northern Ireland, alongside analysis of the structures of production in both places.
Objectives: publication of a collection of short stories set in Wales, Northern Ireland and Italy and of a novel set in Northern Ireland, plus related poetry, journalism and criticism.
Outputs 2018 include:
Words flowering at National Writing Centre, Ty Newydd
A City Burning, a collection of 24 short stories, set in Wales, Northern Ireland and Italy. Seeking publication. Completed with the support of a Writer’s Bursary, 2017 from Literature Wales and The National Lottery through the Arts Council of Wales.
Thorn House, a novel in progress, set in rural Northern Ireland supported by a S.I.A.P. award 2017/18 from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
